Having worked in the beauty industry for years, I have been lucky enough to try a vast ammount of makeup, expericne all brands have to offer and generally appricilate the market! However, there are always brands that have a place in your heart and Chanel is at the top of most girls lists. Their makeup offering is simple, beautifully packaged and works like a dream. These are my top-3 picks!

Interior // Perfectly Trashy Upcycling

I am a big believer in a healthy clash between new and old both when it comes to fashion and home decor. My apartment is a hybrid of trusty Ikea staples, high-end slick goodies, one-off charity and vintage shop finds and genuine upcycling. Luckily, my boyfriend and I share the exact same taste when it comes to interiors so homeware shopping is a joy rather than a chore! 

We're always on the lookout for cool new additions to our place and I love finding them in the most unlikely places. A old-school Post Office around the corner from my apartment recently underwent a refurb and this included removing all the old signage. When I saw these two perfectly trashy CCs amongst the building rubble I pounced quicker than you can say "Chanello"!

Beauty // The Body Shop All-In-One InstaBlur Primer Review

Primers are something I have always been slightly dubious of - there are certain products that burst onto the beauty market from no where and have probably been dreamed up by clever marketing heads to convince girls there is yet another product they need to add to their make-up regimen. I do stand by the fact that a decent foundation that is right for your skin tone and type should last all day anyway, without the need of a primer. That being said, The Body Shop's InstaBlur has received such a buzz online that, when a 50% off a £50 spend offer popped into my inbox, I couldn't resist adding it to by bag. And I love it! The reason this stands out above, say, Clinique's Superprimer or Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer, is that it actually smooths and blurs the appearance of pores, lines and imperfections. All other primers I have tried rely heavily on the foundation you apply over the top to actually change the appearance of your skin, but The Body Shop's InstaBlur creates enough of a flawless finish to be worn alone. While I can't say it helps my favourite Chanel Perfection Lumière stay on longer, it certainly creates a more flawless finish. The price tag at £16 is reasonable as well, especially as there are always offers to be had at The Body Shop.

Favourite // Leather Jacket

The quest for the mythical "perfect leather jacket" is long and full of dangers and disappointment - I have been searching since the mid 00's and I think I've finally cracked it! This beauty from H&Ms "The New Icons" collection is a dream - it feels Balenciaga or Burberry but with the Budget pricetag. This will be a staple for years to come and sold so well in the first drop at H&M that they relaunched it earlier this year.

Vintage // Alexander Wang "Marion" Score

This cute little Alexander Wang "Marion" bag in black suede has been catching my attention for some time, however the price was always a sticking point. I mean, it's just so tiny! Luckily, my love for all things pre-owned came to the rescue and I found this "vintage" (so much chic-er than "second hand" right?!) little number at a fraction of the original price. Sure, it's a little bashed up but I love it just the same. Such a great addition to my collection!
